NEW BERN, NC — Celebrating its 30th year, MUMFEST is all about having fun. This major signature award-winning two-day family festival takes place October 9-10, 2010 on the streets and waterfront in the beautifully revitalized historic downtown area. New attractions this year are the Corvette Racing Tour...compliments of Title Sponsor Joe Alcoke Auto & Truck Center. Authentic Corvette and Corvette Racing Tour interactive display featuring; #3 GT2 Corvette C6.R show car, Corvette ZR1 cutaway Chassis, graphic history of Corvette and Corvette Racing, authentic uniform from famed driver Johnny O'Connell, 2010 C6.R Race Engine and genuine Corvette accessories display.

Returning favorites include Flippinout Productions featuring world class athletes who perform extreme trampoline shows, Rick Hubbard King of Kazoo and his interactive musical show along with festival favorites, the King BMX Bike Stunt Show doing high flying aerial stunts, K-9 Handling Demo’s, amusement rides, retriever field demonstrations, big kids and little kids activities, arts and crafts and commercial exhibits, 5K Run- Fun Walk, Bank of the Arts and a wide variety of savory foods.

Festival PhotoLive entertainment includes known bands and musicians, dance troupes and roving street performers, magicians, clowns, acrobats, characters, college and local choruses and choral groups who interact with festival guests. Enjoy Bigfish FM feature concert in Union Point Park on Saturday at 4pm, The Fantastick Patrick Show, The Silver Drummer Girl and many more.

MUMFEST's Boat Show held in Union Point Park on the scenic Neuse River waterfront includes yachts, boats, maritime exhibits, a hands on family boat building activity and flotilla, boat rides, free tours of USCG vessels and search and rescue demos. On a slower pace, guests can tour the beautiful Tryon Palace Historic Sites and Gardens filled with thousands of mums in full bloom and tour the Palace and surrounding buildings.
