LA VERGNE, TN — The date for the Old Timers' Day will be held on September 18, 2010 and celebrates La Vergne and its citizens. From the La Vergne Rescue Squad’s Country Ham breakfast to the Parade and from the music to the closing fireworks, the day will be filled with activities for the entire family. At 10:30am the parade will march down the streets of La Vergne with the Grand Marshal, Carrie Smith.

Three different areas will entertain every age group, including The Library's Children's Area which will offer story telling, inflatables, face painting, duck pond, make-a-craft and much more for the young people. The Senior Citizens Area will be full of food, baked goods, crafts and much more and the The Demonstrator Area will be filled with demonstrators such as quilters, sewers, blacksmiths and more.

Guests may expect performances by the popular Twelve South Band, Kristina Craig, Adeline, Brother Boom, Mason Douglas, Scott Smith and T. Graham Brown!

Sponsorships are being accepted for the 2010 festival through July 1, 2010. NO EXCEPTIONS! There are various levels, starting at $300 and going upward. If you are interested, please, write to Angie Mayes at amayes@lavergne.org.

Attendance for the day's events range from approximately 23,000-28,000, depending on the day and weather. Advertising on the radio as well as on the official Old Timers' Day T-shirts, on TV and in newspapers is included in the sponsorship levels.
