BUENA VISTA, VA — The Nothin' Fancy Bluegrass Festival will be held on September 23-25, 2010 at the Glenn Maury Park. The festival will feature an all-star line-up of talent including national touring bands.

The event kicks off on September 22, 2010 and shuttles will transport folks to the opening ceremony with open mic. Also on the 22nd enjoy a golf tournament and covered dish dinner.

Nothin’ Fancy was formed as a bluegrass band in September of 1994 with the sole purpose of competing in the East Coast Bluegrass Championship in Crimora, Virginia. After winning their auspicious debut their popularity soared. They have successfully hosted the Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Festival annually since 2001.

Festival PhotoThe festival will feature the best in national and regional bluegrass talent including the host band, Nothin’ Fancy, Rhonda Vincent, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Marty Rabon, Lonesome Will Mullins, Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, Lost and Found, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, Bluegrass Brothers, Josh Williams, Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Lonesome Highway, Little Mountain Boys, Plain & Simple and Alleghany Blue. The Emcee this year will be Evan Carl and sound by Gene Daniell.

The event will commence rain or shine and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Some food and miscellaneous vendors will be on site and audio and video taping is NOT allowed. Campgrounds open on September 19, 2010 at 9am (no early arrivals, please)
